Also on the production side, I have almost finished a collaborative project, though it is budgeted the concept is there and I have enjoyed the project.
I dislike generating a false interest in anything, period. Well small talk is small talk but that’s beside this topic. What I’m talking about is writing a cover letter for a job that isn’t that great.

A couple of posts ago I uploaded my practice walk cycle onto youtube and pressed it (link). This press features the latest adjustments which are: character position and time.
Looking at it now, I see it needs a ground line to show the character’s weight.
I drew this from my window, the golden hour lighting screamed for it to be drawn.
Its wasn’t until the end of College that I realised my approach to drawing was all wrong. Before I use to try and recreate my subject as if what I drew was the object.
My lecturers noticed this and told me that my sketches were uptight with no feeling, it was just a boring almost precise drawing. I didn’t really know how to progress and they didn’t know what to prescribe for my problem. It was only until Uni that I fully released my fault, which was drawings are only representations and not the object itself.
Now this might be quite obvious to the masses, but for me, I became enlightened to my personal problem.
While working on ideas I’ve been practicing on my basic animation exercises. This clip is a progressive walk cycle I did a week back or so.
I may develop it more adding inbetweens etc and wacom it up but I must say, I really like the grain and pencil marks on the page, to me it adds dimension and depth to the 2D realm. If I wacom it up, the little things like this may be lost but it would bring it into this digital age… possibly.

Currently displaying in Selfridges London is the Museum of Everything, an art exhibition made up of untrained/self taught artists, featuring a range of 400 different works from around the world, so there is always some thing new to discover.
The exhibition space is relaxed and exciting, different from other art shows that typically display works in a white environment, creating a more comfortable viewing experience.
There are also video clips of the artists and their studios (played on iPads) that gives visitors a more intimate view into their process and surroundings.
Entry is free and the exhibition ends the 25th of October 2011
